British Columbia has conducted a new tech pilot draw on September 8 to apply for a provincial nomination. A total of 67 people were issued invitations in this draw. Across all subcategories selected candidates required a minimum provincial score of 80. The minimum score required in the previous draw also remained the same. 

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot which was launched in 2017, intends to help employers recruit potential immigrants in the IT sector and promote the immigration process for foreign tech employees and international students.

The invited candidates required to have a job offer in one of the 29 in-demand occupations for at least one year. BC PNP, has conducted 20 tech-only draws till date in 2020. The previous draw took place on August 25.
