Canada | PR Visa | Express Entry | 6940 candidates received invitations in two consecutive draws

Canada held two consecutive draws on June 9, 2021, and June 10, 2021, respectively. The first draw (Draw # 191) was specific to provincial nominee candidates (PNP) whereas the second draw (Draw # 192) was specific to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. In total, 6,940 candidates have received invitations to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence in these draws.

Draw # 192- CEC Specific Draw

IRCC invited 6000 Canadian Experience Class candidates on June 10 draw. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to get an invitation was 368 in this draw. 

This has been the second-lowest minimum CRS score requirement after the historic February 13 draw (Draw # 176) which sent ITAs to as many as 27, 332 candidates who had at least 75 CRS points.

Draw # 191- PNP Specific Draw

On June 9, 2021, IRCC held a draw targeting Provincial Nominated candidates. Invitations issued to 940 PNP candidates who already had Provincial nominee Certificates in this draw. The minimum CRS score required to receive an invitation was 711 in this draw.

This has been a huge draw for PNP-specific draws. The previous huge PNP-specific draw was on March 08, 2021 (Draw # 177) where 671 PNP candidates received the invitations in that draw.

In total, 81, 713 candidates received invitations in all 22 draws of this year so far. Out of all the invitations, 76, 653 CEC candidates and 5060 PNP candidates received the invitations.

Canada | PR Visa | Express Entry Draw# 190 | 5,956 CEC candidates received invitations

Canada held its latest Express Entry draw on May 31, 2021. A total of 5956 candidates received invitations in this draw. Invited candidates belong to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to get an invitation was 380 in this draw.

This has been the second-lowest CRS cut-off requirement for CEC-Specific draws this year so far after the largest ever Express Entry draw (draw # 176) held on February 13, 2021. The lowest-ranked candidates who received invitations had a CRS of 75.

IRCC’s previous was held on May 26, 2021, inviting 500 provincially nominated candidates with CRS scores as low as 713.

So far in 2021, all Express Entry draws have been limited to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or Provincial Nominee Program candidates (PNP). By inviting CEC and PNP candidates, Canada is able to prioritize candidates who live in the country. These candidates may not be subjected to the COVID-19 travel restrictions as the majority of the candidates are currently in Canada.

Furthermore, the government has just created six new pathways to permanent residence, which will accept over 90,000 essential workers and graduates currently working in Canada, demonstrating the government’s commitment to in-Canada applications during the ongoing pandemic.

In total, 74, 773 candidates received invitations in all 20 draws of this year so far. Out of all the invitations, 70, 653 invitations issued to CEC candidates.

Canada | PR Visa | PNP | OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream

Ontario offers a pathway to apply for Permanent Residency, for those who have a valid and full-time job offer from the Province. Candidates can apply for permanent residency through the ’OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream’’.

This stream is meant for foreign skilled workers who are living in and outside of Canada. This stream uses an Expression of Interest System. You need to create an EOI first and receive an invitation to apply, in order to submit the application under this stream.

In order to be eligible to apply under this stream, the applicant must meet the mandatory requirements of this stream as follows

  1. Job offer requirements
  2. Applicant requirements
  3. Employer requirements

I. Job offer requirements

  1. The job offer must be
    • Full-time and permanent
    •  In a skilled occupation at Skill levels O, A, or B of NOC.
    • Based in Ontario
  2. Your offered pay must be more than the median wage for that occupation.
  3. The position is urgently necessary for the employer’s business.

II. Applicant requirements

  1. Must receive ITA before submitting the application.
  2. Have at least 2 years cumulative valid work experience over the last 5 years, license, or other authorization.
  3. Intention to live in Ontario.
  4. Legal status in Canada if the applicant is already living in Canada.

III. Employer Requirements

  1. General Requirements

Your Employer must

  1. Be In active business for a minimum 3 years before you submit your application.
  2. Possess business premises in Ontario.
  3. Not have outstanding orders against them.
  4. Show that they have made enough efforts to hire Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada before the position is offered to you. However, the employer can be exempted from this if
    • The Applicant has a valid work permit in order to work in the province or
    • The employer possesses a Positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) for the job offered.

2. Revenue Requirements of the employer’s business

  • If the business is located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), then your employer must meet the minimum revenue requirements of at least $1,000,000 in total gross annual revenue.
  • If it is outside of GTA, then meet the minimum revenue requirement of at least $500,000 in total gross annual revenue.

3. Your employer must have minimum

  • 5 Canadian citizens or PRs working  at the same place where you are offered to work within the GTA or
  • 3 Canadian Citizens or PRs working at the same place where you offered to work in locations other than GTA.

4. Your employer must sign an Employer Form.

Steps to apply

  1. Create an EOI with OINP under ‘’OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream’’.
  2. If you are invited from the pool, you can submit an online application through the OINP portal.
  3. You will have 14 days’ time to submit the application. In order to do so, you must be ready with all the supporting documents by the time you receive your invitation to apply.
  4. Application fee is $2,000- If your job offer is based in Greater Toronto Area. If it is outside GTA then $1,500.
  5. If you are nominated by Ontario, then you will receive nomination approval letter, a nomination certificate and a work permit support in your email.
  6. The final step is to apply Permanent Residence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) within six months upon receiving the notification from the province.

Canada | PR Visa | Express Entry Draw# 189 | 500 PNP candidates received invitations

Canada’s latest was draw held on May 26, 2021. A total of 500 candidates who had provincial nominations (PNP) received invitations in the latest draw. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to get an invitation was 713 in this draw.

This is the lowest CRS cut-off requirement for PNP-Specific draws this year so far. The previous PNP-Specific draw held on May 12, 2021, saw 557 candidates receiving invitations who had a CRS score of 752 and above. It was followed by CEC- Specific draw on the next day i.e. on May 13, 2021.  A total of 4147 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates who had 410 CRS points and above were invited.

Surprisingly, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held another draw the very next week on May 20, 2021. CEC candidates received 1842 invitations who had CRS scores as low as 397.

In total, 68, 817 candidates received invitations in all 19 draws of this year so far. Out of all the invitations, 4,120 invitations were issued to provincially nominated candidates.
