Canada | PR Visa | PNP | Alberta Immigration Nominee Program draw: 50 candidates received invitations

The province of Alberta has released first Provincial Nominee Program draw details of the year 2021. The first Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) held on January 8, 2021. It has invited 50 candidates through Alberta Express Entry Stream in this draw.

The invited candidates had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 406. This is the second-highest CRS score requirement after July 10, 2019 draw.

This draw has been the first draw since June 2020. The last draw was held on June 17, 2020. It invited 187 candidates in that draw who had a minimum CRS score of 303. In 2020, AINP had conducted only 11 draws starting from January 9, 2020, till June 17, 2020.

As per Alberta’s economic recovery plan, Alberta has issued 4000 nomination certificates only in 2020. The usage of nominations was reduced to more than one third compared to the actual nominations provided. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) provided 6, 250 nomination certificates for the province in 2020.

Candidates who are nominated under Alberta Express Entry Stream must have a valid Express Entry Profile. They must have experience in such an occupation that supports the economic development of the province. The occupation should not be from the in-eligible occupation list of AINP.
