Canada held another Provincial Nominee Program-specific draw on January 20, 2021. A total of 374 candidates received invitations in this draw. Invited candidates had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 741.
This has been the third draw of this month and second, being the PNP specific draw. Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its first draw of the year on January 6, 2021. It was a PNP specific draw where 250 candidates had received invitations. The required minimum CRS score was 813 in that draw.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) specific draw was held on the next day i.e. on January 7, 2021 (Express Entry Draw# 172). A total of 4,750 eligible candidates who had a minimum CRS score of 461, received invitations under Canadian Experience Class.
The second primary way Canada accepts eligible foreign workers is the PNP after Express Entry. Via the PNP, most of the provinces and territories of Canada run their own immigrant selection programs to welcome eligible newcomers who can help meet their needs in the local labour market.
Candidates who meet the Express Entry-aligned PNP stream selection requirements are entitled to gain an additional 600 CRS points if they are approved the provincial nomination.
