On July 2, 2020, Manitoba held its 93rd PNP draw. In total, Manitoba has issued 125 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates for immigration.
The LAAs invite candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for a permanent resident visa in Canada.
Candidates for immigration must file an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Province if they wish to obtain a LAA under either Manitoba Skilled Workers or Overseas Skilled Workers system.
Candidates are measured on human resource attributes such as their language skills, job experience, educational qualifications, links to Manitoba and other attributes. It rates them out of 1,000 points.
Candidates under the Overseas Skilled Workers and Manitoba Skilled Workers categories help the province meet its economic needs.
If a candidate is abroad, they need to prove that they have links with Manitoba, such as having strong relatives or provincial friendships. Previous living experience in Manitoba or an invitation under one of the Strategic Recruitment Programs in the province may also make an applicant worthy. These people don't need to be living in the province when they apply.
In order to be qualified for the Manitoba pool of Skilled Employees, you must meet requirements such as getting a full-time and permanent work offer within Manitoba.
An applicant must meet requirements such as being a graduate of an educational institution in Manitoba to earn a LAA via the International Education Stream
