British Columbia has conducted a new Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on June 30 to apply for a provincial nomination. A total of 314 people were issued invitations in this draw.

 

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has issued invitations under Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration.

 

The new Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw was BC’s largest since the coronavirus pandemic started and the second largest overall in 2020. Until the pandemic began on March 10, the largest draw took place, and 332 invitations were issued.

Express Entry BC (EEBC)


1.      EEBC- Skilled Worker

          Minimum score required under this category: 98

2.      EEBC- International Graduate

          Minimum score required: 100


Skills Immigration (SI)


1.      SI- Skilled Worker

          Minimum score required under this category: 98

2.      SI- International Graduate

          Minimum score required: 100

3.       SI- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled:

          Minimum score required: 79

 

The minimum score thresholds for the five EEBC and SI groups that were included in this draw ranged between 79 and 100.

 

BC again ruled out certain occupations from the latest draw due to the COVID-19 pandemic, mainly related to tourism, hospitality, and retail.

 

Candidates must be registered under both the federal Express Entry program and B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) in order to obtain an invitation through the EEBC.

 

Candidates under Skills Immigration (SI) need to be registered with the SIRS.
