Canada | PR Visa | Express Entry Draw# 179 | Two consecutive Express Entry draws in two days: 5000 CEC candidates received invitations

Canada held another Express Entry draw on March 18, 2021. A total of 5000 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates received invitations in the latest draw. Minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to get an invitation was 449 in this draw. The latest draw has been the third in this month.

This is the first CEC draw since the huge CEC draw on February 13, which invited over 27,000 candidates with work experience in Canada.

One day before this draw i.e.  on March 17, 2021, Canada held Provincial Nominee specific draw. 183 candidates who had CRS scores of 682 and above have received invitations in this draw. From the beginning of this year, Canada has been targeting either provincially nominated candidates or Canadian Experience Class candidates.

In total, 43,840 candidates received invitations in all 9 draws of this year so far. Out of the 43,840 invitations, 41,708 invitations issued to Canadian Experience Class candidates. Remaining 2,132 invitations went to provincially nominated candidates.
