The Quebec province held its first PNP draw of the year-2021 on January 26, 2021. A total of 95 candidates under Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination.
The invited candidates belong to the following categories
- Those who had a validated Employment offer
- Foreign nationals who are residing in Quebec as Diplomats, Consular Officers or Duly accredited officials of a foreign country.
Arrima portal is meant for the individuals who are willing to immigrate permanently or temporarily through certain programs. This platform acts as better alignment between Labour market of Quebec and immigration.
Applicants who are 18 years age and older and are interested in immigrating through the RSWP to Quebec must first create an EOI profile in Arrima and then position them in a pool of candidates.
Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI) then invites the most eligible candidates on the basis of current provincial market labour needs and the strong ability of the person to integrate into Quebec society, among other criteria.
Those invited to apply for permanent selection have to submit a complete immigration application, pay the necessary fees and submit the required documentation.
The successful candidates will then receive Certificat de selection du Quebec (Quebec Selection Certificate-CSQ). This document certifies that the province has approved the candidate for permanent selection. The candidates who receive a CSQ can submit the application for Permanent Residence with Canada’s federal government.
The previous draw was held on December 16, 2020, where 233 candidates received invitations. In 2020, Quebec has conducted only four draws. In total, Quebec sent 628 invitations in all the four draws.
