Canada | PR Visa | Quebec Immigration | The Government of Quebec announced Immigration application updates

The Quebec government announced the changes in the immigration processing fees. The increment in the fees is applicable to the candidates applying for immigration and its related services on or after January 1, 2021.

The Ministère des Finances du Québec adjusts fee rates with reference to the annual change in the Consumer Price Index of all-items. Accordingly, the fee has been increased by 1.26%.

Updates in the Quebec Experience Program and International Student Programs

The government of Quebec recently announced changes for two of its programs. Candidates applying under the International Student Program (ISP) and the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) have to submit the documents electronically.

It will become compulsory to transmit the documents electronically effective January 26. Post this date Ministry of Immigration will no longer accept paper applications.

Transmission of documents electronically will be applied to the pilot programs that will be implemented in 2021. The government has recently announced that will implement Pilot programs for Orderlies, Workers in Artificial Intelligence, IT and Visual effect sectors as well as workers in food processing in 2021.
