The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has invited 21 candidates through its Entrepreneur stream on October 26. The invitations were issued via Entrepreneur Stream to candidates with scores between 142 and 200.
Expressions of Interests (EOI) of clients received by OINP between 22 November 2019 and 16 October 2020 were eligible for an invitation in this draw.
The invited candidates are not required to contact the program or province. They will receive login details and instructions on how to complete the application in two separate emails from the province.
The candidates who have not received ITA in this draw despite eligibility in Express Entry may still be eligible to receive an invitation to apply in the future rounds till one year from the application submission date.
A total of 112 candidates have received invitations through this category in Ontario’s fifth draw of this kind so far this year.
As entrepreneurs seeking a nomination from Ontario after the business has been established, the following conditions must be met:
- Official language proficiency of CLB level 4 or equivalent
- Applicants must be physically residing in Ontario for 75% (nine months out of the year) of the time in which they set up business in Ontario (i.e. the Performance Arrangement Time);
- Entrepreneurs must be actively engaged in conducting company/business operations on a regular basis.
