EOI system of Manitoba
Candidates need to file an EOI with the MPNP in order to be eligible to apply for a provincial Manitoba nomination in both the Manitoba Skilled Workers and the groups of Skilled Workers Overseas.
An EOI is an online profile rated by a score of 1,000. Points are awarded based on a candidate's educational qualification, job experience, ties with Manitoba, and English or French proficiency.
Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba
The skilled workers overseas stream helps the MPNP to pick and nominate qualified foreign workers who will help sustain the job market in Manitoba.
Candidates must show connection with Manitoba provinces such as close family or friends residing in the province, previous provincial study or work experience in the province, or an invitation under MPNP's one of the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives among other requirements. To be eligible, the candidates need not be in Manitoba at the time of request.
Under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, the candidates invited through the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream were directly invited by the MPNP.
Among other qualifications, applicants who are accepted under the Manitoba Skilled Workers category must have a full-time, permanent work offer from a Manitoba employer.
International education stream
Under this stream, graduates from Manitoba with specific in-demand skills may be invited.
This stream contains three sub-categories:
