British Columbia held their biggest Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) draw around since late March on June 2nd. BC issued invitations to 38 candidates for entrepreneurs and 241 other candidates for Skilled Workers and International Graduates.

Express Entry BC (EEBC), Skills Immigration (SI) and Entrepreneurs’ stream
Express Entry BC (EEBC)
Under Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams, a total of 241 Skilled Worker and International Graduate applicants obtained invitations to apply. For candidates, the minimum required score varied by the stream.
Candidates needed to have already submitted profiles under Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada’s Express Entry system. Following their invitation to apply for a provincial nomination by B.C., successful candidates will earn an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points which will effectively guarantee that they will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence under IRCC’s Express Entry system.

The aim of the Base Category is to welcome successful entrepreneurs who wish to either start or take over a business. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of factors such as experience in their business, net worth, educational qualifications, business strategy and how much investment they expect to make

Entrepreneur Immigration — Regional Pilot candidates
This program was launched in 2019. The pilot's goal is to inspire immigrant entrepreneurs to create a new life in the province's smaller communities. Candidates are evaluated on parameters similar to the base group, but there are several additional conditions, such as lower net worth and minimum investment thresholds.
