Canada | PR Visa | PNP – British Columbia invited 158 applicants to apply for a provincial nomination

The Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia (BC PNP) held a new draw on 19 May and a total of 158 invitations were issued. Candidates were invited from
5 subcategories of  the Express Entry BC(EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI)
Streams in the recent draw. Requirements for the provincial score varied by programme.

The score requirements for each subcategory are as follows.

1.      Express Entry BC subcategory (EEBC)

a)        Skilled worker-110

b)        International Graduate-110

2.      Skills Immigration(SI)

a)        Skilled Worker: 100

b)        International Graduate: 103

c)        Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 81

Candidates need to have Express Entry Profiles to be invited under these subcategories. If they get the provincial nomination, they will have the opportunity to get an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This will essentially guarantee that in a subsequent Express Entry draw, they will obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

The effect of coronavirus on B.C had influenced this draw.  This draw also didn't include a number of sales and service occupations. Candidates invited on 19th May draw have up to 30 calendar days to submit their applications.
